Vision Tone Formula - this formula is based on the classic Chinese formula Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia (Liu Wei Di Huang Tang), and contains the basic herbs Rehmannia, Cornus, Dioscorea, Alisma, Poria, Moutan plus White Peony, Lycium Berry, Chrysanthemum Flower, American Ginseng, Bilberry, Gingko, Licorice, Shou Wu, Wild Yam and Hoelen.
It is a historical tonic for visual problems such cataracts, dry eyes and light sensitivity.
Recommended dosage: 1/2 dropperful 2 times a day for prevention, or 3 times a day for treatment. Best times to take the herbs are when you get up in the morning, and in the afternoon between 4 and 6 o'clock. Herbs should preferably not be taken with meals.

American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolium) is a tonic particularly good for the adrenal glands. American ginseng is gentler that the Asian varieties: it has more of a yin function. American ginseng supports the immune system, provides energy and balances blood sugar levels.
Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) appears to play a significant role in the prevention of cataracts. In one study, a combination of bilberry and vitamin E stopped cataract formation in 97 percent of the patients - without side effects. Bilberry may also strengthen the collagen that supports eye structure. An anti-oxidant, it protects the lens from oxidation.
Gingko (Ginkgo biloba) has been shown to increase visual acuity in people with macular degeneration. Ginkgo increases blood circulation to the head, which includes the brain and the eyes, so it can speed healing of all of the tissues associated with vision.
Shou Wu nourishes the power that makes birth, development and maturation graceful.
Suggested Dosage:
Adults: 10-30 drops 3 times per day
Children: (age 6-12) 5-15 drops 3 times per day
